One of One's favourite things

Is home made muesli and One has a batch in the oven right now.

Its super simple and delicious to eat and it also makes aflatofonesown smell absolutely delicious while its baking away.

All it is is 300g oats, 100g slivered almonds, 100g pepitas or pumpkin seeds a squirt of honey and a shake of cinnamon then its all thrown into the oven for about 40 minutes at 160 degrees (fan forced). Then while its cooling One adds whatever dried fruits take One's fancy.

This week there are dried apples, sultanas and mango in the mix.

Can't wait for breakfast!

Fab-U-lous!

Countdown to Shootin'

One is currently counting down the days on a number of travel plans including a trip to the farm! One loves many things about the farm, the company, the farmers market, the local olive oil and other produce, the wineries and of course the shootin!

One is quite the shot it turns out and over Christmas there were many targets set up and shot down!

Four days on the farm over Easter = heaven!

Singapore: Things One Loved

One of the great finds whilst in Singapore was in fact a little store from Sydney - jones the grocer - which is both cafe and purveyor of foods...

One would love to do one's groceries there, its kind of like a modern Re Store but with a full working bakery.

The one up at Dempsey Hill is in this great old military hall with vaulted ceilings, a seriously high wall full of cook books along with another table full of cook books - One was in heaven.

Hot damn Hot

So the temperature here in Perth has been something along the lines of 24, 26, 25, 23, 22 - no we're not having a cold snap in summer, they have been the minimums for the past week. The maximums have been similarly horrific - 42, 41, 43, 41, 42. Yuck Yuck Yuck.

Thank goodness for air conditioning.
